In Kuwait there are a few cuisines that we cannot live without, and Indian is one of them. The amalgamation of curries and biryanis, delicious spices, incredible sauces and amazingly juicy meats with a side of fresh bread or fluffy rice is a house favorite. On weekends, it’s the ideal meal for an afternoon that doesn’t kill your evening, and Curry House, the Kuwait Catering Company’s delivery-only Indian concept, is here to fill your afternoon with spiced delights in the comfort of your own home.
The meal is prepared fresh to order in one of the largest ISO certified central kitchens in the country. Each order is given the individual attention to detail that results in amazing dishes. Start your meal off with a Shrimp or Chicken 65. Golden fried meat is covered with delicious chili paste, star anise and lemon sauce, a great start to a delicious meal.
Of course, no Indian meal is complete without a few dishes from the curry pot. At Curry House, choose dishes from all over the country. From the north region, they feature a perfect, and tried but true, dish of butter chicken, made with delicious morsels of chicken tikka cooked in homemade tomato sauce with double cream and fenugreek. Or go for the chicken kadhai, made in the traditional thick, circular and deep cast-iron pot (similar to a wok). This capsicum-based dish will have you looking for more bread to scoop out every last drop. Travel to the south of India with the Hyderabad dum biryani. The delicious combination of Indian basmati rice is cooked with hidden treasures of lamb, shrimp, or chicken and spiced perfectly for each type. For the vegetarian in the family, try the biryani subz bahar, cooked with seasonal vegetables.
Curry House wouldn’t be authentic without their delicious tandooris from the clay tandoor. Choose from a variety of chicken dishes including the Punjabi specialty of tandoori chicken made with masala, garlic, ginger, onion, and cayenne pepper to name a few. Or try the house special, Curry House Multani Chicken Tikka, with tandoor roasted chicken morsels in rich cream, ginger and cardamom marinade. Craving red meat? Try the seekh kabab, a melt-in-your-mouth minced lamb kebab made with cheddar, ginger, chili, and cardamom.
Having a group of people over, and you don’t want the hassle of ordering many different dishes? Go for one, or a couple of their meal offerings for three to six people.
