After 37 years with only one store in Kuwait, IKEA opens the third customer meeting point, the New IKEA Shop in the heart of the city, in The Assima Mall. Our social feeds are already abuzz about this new destination in K-town, which is why we were super excited to check out everything this IKEA store is bringing to city-goers!
IKEA opens this shop with the purpose of bringing the IKEA experience to the heart of Kuwait City and to be closer to more people in Kuwait, to surprise, excite and inspire them with a unique and unforgettable experience.
And delighted we were! Every corner of this IKEA store felt like home, from the way the products are cleverly merchandised, to the iconic city views in the IKEA Cafe. We felt like we can just walk in, and flop on the amazing couches set up in front of the projector in the living room space set up for a movie night. Honestly, we just needed some popcorn, and the mood would have been complete.
Inaugurated today at The Assima Mall by AlHomaizi Limited and the entire IKEA family Mr. Marino Maganto, CEO of IKEA Kuwait commented,

We couldn’t contain our excitement when we saw jars of berry jam set up next to yummy crackers, and the perfect storage jars to complete the shelf. We just wanted to transform the entire setup into our own living space.

Using the IKEA app, you can easily scan the QR code of all of the products stocked in The IKEA Shop at The Assima Mall and they will be automatically added to your shopping list. Check out and pay, and either receive the products you ordered on the spot to take home with you or have them delivered right to your step in a matter of hours. Every little detail has been carefully planned out so that you, the valued customer, walk away from the IKEA Shop at The Assima Mall with a happy experience. More than 7,000 articles under one roof with the help of the IKEA co-workers and their digital tools. IKEA is very well established in Kuwait and has been in the market for almost 36 years. In February 2020, IKEA opened a planning studio in 360 Mall; and today marks another milestone in the history of IKEA Al Homaizi Limited by opening a unique concept of IKEA shop in Kuwait. “This is a pioneering concept of IKEA Shop in the world, and we are super excited to bring this unique concept to Kuwait, to the heart of the city, to The Assima Mall”.
