In Kuwait’s private sector, conversations around end-of-service indemnity are often avoided, misunderstood, or quietly postponed. Yet for many employees, this entitlement represents one of the most significant financial milestones in their careers. Enter MyEOS, a new app designed to put clarity and control back into the hands of employees, built by someone who knows the system inside out.
Ahmed Al Tamimi, a seasoned Human Resources practitioner with over a decade of experience in the Kuwaiti banking sector, did not set out to become a tech founder. His journey began with a simple, recurring observation. Employees frequently wanted to understand their end-of-service benefits but hesitated to ask HR directly. The hesitation was not about secrecy, but perception. In many workplaces, such questions can be misinterpreted as a signal that someone is preparing to resign.
That gap between curiosity and comfort became the foundation for MyEOS.
“Some employees just want to know,” Al Tamimi explains. “It is part of their long-term financial planning.” For many, end-of-service indemnity functions as a form of passive savings. It can support major life transitions such as relocation, career shifts, or even starting a business. Yet despite its importance, the calculation itself is far from straightforward.
End-of-service benefits in Kuwait are governed by a framework that varies depending on how employment ends. Resignation, termination, and non-confirmation each come with different eligibility rules, service thresholds, and percentage calculations. Even within those categories, sub-conditions apply. For example, an employee resigning after four years does not receive the same percentage as someone leaving after five or ten years. The complexity can challenge even junior HR professionals.
MyEOS simplifies this entirely.
The app allows users to input basic employment details, then processes the calculation instantly. Behind that simplicity lies Al Tamimi’s years of HR experience, translated into a system that accounts for multiple legal scenarios and edge cases. The goal is not just accuracy, but accessibility.
The development process, however, was not immediate. Initially, Al Tamimi considered building the app himself. After exploring coding, he made a pragmatic decision to collaborate with a professional developer. What followed was months of iteration, testing, and refinement before the app launched on Apple’s App Store. An Android version is currently in progress.
This decision reflects a broader mindset that defines MyEOS. It is not about reinventing HR, but about making it work better for real people.
One of the app’s key strengths is its discretion. Employees can explore their financial standing without triggering unnecessary workplace assumptions. At the same time, it serves as a valuable tool for small and medium-sized enterprises that may not have dedicated HR systems in place.
Since its soft launch, MyEOS has been introduced to a limited network, allowing for controlled feedback and validation. The early response has been promising, with users appreciating both its clarity and ease of use. For Al Tamimi, this phase is crucial. Growth will come later, but only after the product proves its value.
Looking ahead, the vision for MyEOS extends beyond a single function. While the current focus remains on end-of-service calculations, the long-term ambition is to evolve into a broader HR platform. Expansion beyond Kuwait is also on the horizon, though not through a one-size-fits-all model. Each market comes with its own labor laws and regulatory nuances, and the app’s future lies in adapting to those differences while maintaining accuracy and trust.
At its core, MyEOS is about empowerment. It gives employees visibility into a critical aspect of their financial future and removes the uncertainty that often surrounds it. In a work culture where information can sometimes feel gatekept or complicated, that kind of transparency is not just useful. It is necessary.
And sometimes, knowing where you stand makes all the difference in deciding where to go next.
You can download the MyEOS app from the Apple App Store.
