The beauty of recycling is that you contribute to the environment by not wasting anything. The best thing about reusing is that you not only prevent scraps from going to waste, but you use the scraps as they are rather than shredding and processing them. When architect Naji Moujaes realized how much paper was going to waste everyday at 4Films Company, he came up with the concept of Press Designs. Press Designs is a concept store that sells products made from the scraps at 4Films as well as designs made by PAD 10, Naji’s architectural design company. Sticking to the motto “reused” the pieces created are usually limited due to the lack of scraps in the needed size.
Notebooks, sketchbooks, and even albums created from scraps, something will definitely catch your eye. Using the best technology to print designs on their pieces, every product is an intricate form of art on its own. Interactive pieces like puzzles and mobiles are sure to keep the kids busy for a while. Nothing has gone past them, if they have the materials to produce it, they will. In honor of the 20th anniversary of liberation and 50th anniversary of independence, Press Designs has created a very special line of products for this celebration. From bracelets, to notebooks and such, everything is made in celebration of Kuwait’s special festivities. In the spirit of Valentine’s Day, they’ve created gift cards made especially for the occasion.
This diverse concept store doesn’t just stop at that. Jewelry designer and Product Development Manager of Press Designs, Sylvette Blaimont is currently showcasing her jewelry line at the store. Opening the way for guest designers to showcase their pieces, you get more options to choose from every time you visit. Holding special events at the shop every once in a while to launch a new line of products, you get the chance to see the latest additions to the store first hand. The beauty of everything is the uniqueness it has. Everything is there till it sells out, guaranteeing you will be one of few to have specific pieces. Utilizing every material they can possibly acquire be it wood, acrylic, or paper, Press Designs is sure to come up with something innovative.
Coasters, trays, and home accessories in general are part of the products they provide. New twists on conventional products, you are sure to find something of your liking. Eco-friendly and stylish yet durable products are what they sell. Turning everything into pieces of collectable art, everything they offer is wonderful eye candy. Some items are limited edition giving the buyer the exclusivity they seek at times. Some of their products, like the photo albums or scrapbooks they offer are a bundle of fun! Sold separately or as a set, you can get one for travel, the wedding, or for baby photos, each of them having the respective design on the front. You can also find agendas that last five years giving all you designers or thinkers out there a chance to reflect on past accomplishments as you accelerate into the future.
